Standing for Truth in the Digital Space
GOC is working to identify, document, and respond to harmful, misleading, or inaccurate portrayals of Christianity across digital and social media platforms — thoughtfully, not impulsively.
Representation Shapes Understanding
Digital media strongly influences how faith is understood. When Christianity is portrayed inaccurately, misleadingly, or disrespectfully, it can shape public perception in ways that do not reflect the truth of the Gospel.
GOC wants to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. By documenting recurring concerns, we can better understand patterns, engage where appropriate, and represent Christ with both conviction and grace.
What Can Be Reported
Examples of digital and media concerns that may be relevant to report.
Misrepresentation
Content that presents Christian beliefs, practices, or figures in a distorted or inaccurate way.
Misinformation
False claims presented as fact about Christianity, Scripture, or the Christian community.
Mockery or Disrespect
Content that ridicules or disparages Christian faith, symbols, or believers in a demeaning manner.
Misleading Context
Genuine material presented out of context in a way that changes its meaning or intent.
Hostile or Harmful Portrayal
Portrayals that promote hostility, prejudice, or harm toward Christians or the Christian faith.
Manipulated or Misleading Media
Edited, fabricated, or deceptively captioned media used to misrepresent Christianity.
Other Relevant Concerns
Other digital content that meaningfully misrepresents or harms the Christian witness online.
These are examples, not an exhaustive list. Legitimate criticism, honest theological disagreement, or sincere questions about faith are not automatically reportable violations.
A Simple, Thoughtful Process
01 — Submit
Share the platform, a direct link to the content, and relevant context about what you observed.
02 — Review
GOC reviews the information submitted to understand the nature and scope of the concern.
03 — Assess
The concern is evaluated according to its nature, context, and relevance to GOC's mission.
04 — Respond
Where appropriate, GOC may document, follow up, educate, engage, or pursue an appropriate response.

- Accurate information helps us review concerns more effectively.
- Links should point directly to the relevant content where possible.
- Screenshots or evidence can help preserve context.
- Duplicate or intentionally false reports may not be actionable.
- GOC may contact the reporter when additional context is needed.
